Client: A mid-sized logistics operator managing refrigerated storage.
The Challenge: Our client needed to secure uninterrupted power for cold storage units while mitigating the impact of Belgium’s tiered energy tariffs on their 24/7 operational costs.
The Amosolar Solution: We proposed our 180 kWh outdoor cabinet Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), leveraging Sodium-Ion technology. The key was its wide operating temperature range (-40°C to 80°C), which our engineering team confirmed was ideal for the variable coastal climate. The IP54-rated cabinet allowed for flexible installation near the loading docks without consuming warehouse space.
Implementation & Integration: The Amosolar project team managed the full turnkey installation over a weekend to avoid operational disruption. We configured the system for dual-mode use: daily peak shaving to cut demand charges and automatic switchover to backup power during grid interruptions. A core reason the client chose our system was the inherent safety profile of our Sodium-Ion battery chemistry, which eased site safety approvals.
Outcome & Feedback: The system now delivers approximately 28% savings on the client’s monthly energy bill. During one grid fluctuation, it provided 2 hours of critical backup.
